Fire Rebuild & Framing in Highlands Ranch

A fire-damage rebuild in Highlands Ranch taken back to the studs and re-framed, including vaulted ceiling framing, a rebuilt stair tower, and new window and door openings across the open great room.

Challenge

After fire and smoke damage, the interior had to be stripped back to bare framing and subfloor before anything could be rebuilt — drywall, insulation, and finishes were removed across multiple levels.
Because the home is open to below at the great room and stairs, the rebuild had to keep the two-story structure supported while walls, rafters, and openings were re-framed.

Work

The photos show full interior demolition back to studs, with new stud walls laid out for the rebuilt floor plan and vaulted ceiling framing rebuilt overhead.
The stair tower and two-story window wall were re-framed around the existing staircase, with new headers and rough openings set for replacement windows and patio doors.
Mechanical, plumbing, and electrical rough-in runs through the open framing, with R-38 ceiling insulation and new plumbing stock staged for the next phase.

Outcome

The rebuilt frame shows the home squared away and ready for insulation, drywall, and finishes — vaulted ceilings intact, stair tower rebuilt, and daylight back through new window openings.
