Using a planning range well

Installed, not labor-only

Ranges marked installed include labor and typical materials. Labor-only pricing and owner-supplied materials are quoted separately and are not comparable to these totals.

Colorado conditions

Expansive clay soils, frost depth, snow load, and jurisdiction review times all move Front Range pricing. Sites with rock, steep grades, or tight access land at the high end or above.

Budget a contingency

Hold 10–15% for remodels and older homes where conditions behind walls or under ground are unknown until work starts. See our Colorado cost-to-build guide for more detail.

Questions

Cost calculator FAQ

Is the calculator a quote?

No. It is an educational planning range. Final pricing depends on an on-site review, the specified scope, and material selections, and is set only in a written estimate.

Why do some services say quote required?

Foundation excavation, heavily wooded clearing, deep trenching, complex driveways, mountain sites, and frameless glazing vary too much by site or design to give an honest range online. We still list what drives the cost.

Do the ranges include materials?

Yes, ranges marked installed include labor and typical materials. They exclude permits, engineering, tax, and unforeseen conditions unless listed.

How current are these figures?

Planning ranges were last reviewed 2026-09-28 for the Colorado Front Range. Material prices move, so treat them as a starting point.

Can I send my estimate to you?

Yes. The request button carries your selected service and inputs into the estimate form so you do not retype them.
